About me
My story
I grew up in Cyprus to a British mother and a Cypriot father, speaking English and Greek from childhood. That multilingual upbringing taught me early on that languages aren't just subjects to study; they're bridges to new places, people, and opportunities. I've since learned French, Italian, and Spanish, lived fully immersed in France for three years where I completed my BA, and built a career around helping others discover what language learning can open up for them.
I've spent over 14 years teaching, with the last 7 years dedicated to language education. I work with children, teens, and adults, guiding them from hesitant first attempts to speaking with genuine confidence. What drives me is seeing that moment when a student realizes they can actually do this.
My teaching style
I don't believe in one-size-fits-all teaching because no two students learn the same way. Whether you're aiming to improve grades, pass an exam, travel independently, or advance in your career, I design a clear plan tailored to your specific goals. You'll always understand what we're working on, why it matters, and how it applies to real life.
My background in dance education shapes how I teach. Lessons are structured and purposeful, but also dynamic and engaging. I use humor, real-life scenarios, and encouragement to make grammar and vocabulary feel less daunting and more within reach.
I've learned five languages myself, so I know firsthand the frustration, the self-doubt, and the fear of sounding foolish. I've been the student who felt small in the learning process, which is exactly why I create a space where you can try, stumble, and grow without judgment. My job is to help you feel genuinely confident and proud of what you achieve.
